For patients who need treatment across most or all of their teeth, we develop a phased treatment plan that addresses everything: structural damage, worn teeth, missing teeth, bite alignment, gum health, and aesthetics. This may involve a combination of implants, crowns, bone grafting, extractions, and prosthetics.

Full-mouth cases are planned using cone-beam CT imaging, digital scans, and 3D models. Sedation is available.

What is full-mouth rehabilitation?

Patients with widespread wear from grinding, multiple failing or missing teeth, a collapsed bite, extensive old dentistry reaching the end of its life, or the combined effects of years of avoided treatment. What these cases have in common is that treating one tooth at a time will not work, because the bite itself has to be rebuilt.

With cone-beam CT imaging, digital scans, and 3D models, so the whole plan is worked out before any treatment starts. That includes the sequence, what the final bite will look like, and where implants would go. Planning this way is what prevents finishing one phase and discovering it does not work with the next.

Months rather than weeks, and complex cases involving grafting and implant integration can run past a year. Much of that time is healing rather than appointments. You are given a phase-by-phase timeline before you commit.

No, and most patients do not. Treatment is deliberately phased, both clinically and financially. Urgent problems are addressed first, then the plan proceeds at a pace that works for you, as long as the sequence keeps the overall result intact.

No. During multi-stage treatment we make a temporary prosthesis so you are never without a full set of teeth, and if extractions are involved, immediate dentures mean you leave the office with teeth the same day. Provisionals are fabricated here, so they are ready when needed.

Yes, at every level, including general anesthesia administered by a board-certified anesthesiologist in our office. Sedation also allows more to be accomplished per visit, which means fewer appointments overall. The chairs have built-in heat and massage for comfort during long appointments without sedation.

A cosmetic smile makeover changes how teeth look, usually with veneers, bonding, and whitening on teeth that are structurally sound. Full-mouth rehabilitation rebuilds function: bite, support, and missing structure, with appearance as one of several goals. Many rehabilitation cases produce a dramatic cosmetic change as a byproduct.

It varies enormously with what the case involves, so a meaningful number requires the examination and imaging first. You receive a written estimate broken out by phase, so you can see the cost of each stage rather than one total. Financing through Cherry and Sunbit is available.

Partially. Individual procedures within the plan are usually covered at their normal rates, but annual maximums on most dental plans are low enough that they cover a fraction of a case this size. Phasing treatment across benefit years can make better use of those maximums, and we plan with that in mind.
